Greats, Grands and One Less Kidney

We just returned from Tucson where we bid adieu to Grandpa Mit's right kidney. The surgery was successful and Mit is recovering quickly. He will hopefully return home on Sunday. Addie was there to wish him well when they wheeled him away to pre-op and was there again to greet him in his recovery room.

While a kidney had to be sacrificed, the good news is that Addie had the opportunity to meet her Grandma Janne, Great Grandma Vede, and Great Aunt Marcia for the first time (and say hello to Great Aunt Karen again). Grandma Janne graciously babysat her allowing Cap and I to go out to dinner together. While we were out, Addie took a few naps on Grandma's shoulder and I'm not sure who enjoyed it more.

Our trip was too short, so we'll have to be back soon. I am sure that Addie will grow up loving the desert - and of course her greats and grands.
