Kibble Nibble Avoided

Addie wandered into the kitchen and came dangerously close to Didi's turkey and giblets meal. It's really a matter of when, not if.

Admit it. You ate cat/dog food once when you were little, right?
An LA Fireman was just awarded $2.7 million in damages for unknowingly eating dog food as part of a hazing ritual at the ole firehouse. I could say a lot about this story, but I'd just get annoyed.

But back to me. As far as I can recall, I don't think I actually did eat pet food ever and we had plenty of cats(6) and later on several dogs (4) plus an assortment of pet mice. Check out the ingredients in mouse kibble: fortified mix of vegetables, high fiber hay, healthful whole grains, and fruit. balanced Omega-3 and Omega-6 Polyunsaturated fatty acids aid in development of shiny coats. powerful antioxidants boost immune systems to fight disease. loaded with essential fiber." This could very well be the ingredient list of my pre-natal vitamins.

Pets did not arrive in our household until the kitty in Tokyo, but the animal deluge began with Yuki in Mamaroneck. You were by then past the age to be interested in pet food although Andrew and Jennifer undoubtedly had a kibble nibble. However, you did have an unsupervised moment during a Junior League workshop at a friend's home where you discovered the indoor clay tray. Unfortunately it was shared by the house cat. You were busy scooping teeny handfuls of litter into a cup when discovered.

It is both wonderful and sad that the carefully controlled diet of IAMS is healthier than the selections we make for ourselves.

Um. i definitely ate dog food. Brother dared me (of course) and i ate a handful of kibbles & bits or whatever cheap brand of dog food we had in Austin. (and i was not a baby - i was in the 2nd grade!) So, hopefully addie will follow in her momma's footsteps and get over the pet food eating without having ever tried it.

my friend jedd keeps a bag of dog food in his plane as emergency food. guess it's the most bang for your buck nutrition vs weight vs longevity? there are probably worse things addie could eat... like kitty turds. :)

I made Niki eat a dog treat just a couple days ago. I liken it to making sure the cup is not poisoned. I couldn't stop laughing though, cause there's nothing wrong with dogfood (it's edible), but the aftertaste of liver shares no equal.
