Greetings from the Road: Day 9

Peace and Love, San Francisco!

Addie cruised the Mission on Chris' shoulders after grabbing falafel sandwiches for a picnic in Golden Gate Park before going to the new De Young Museum. Refusing to nap in the stroller, the museum trip was a cut short by a very loud girl named Addie, but we did go up to the observation floor in the tower which rewarded us with truly amazing views of the city.

Afterwards, we watched the tango dancers in the bandshell in the park adjacent to the museum before heading back to Chris and Erene's cool loft in SoMa to grill fish and drink wine. Ahhhh.

On our way down from Humboldt Saturday, we had a fun diversion in Napa where we met up with Birthday Boy Ross, Niki (Baby Sawyer's Aunt and Uncle) and the Armstrong's (Sawyer's Grandparents) for a little wine tasting. Happy 3-0 Old Man!

That peace and love pic is too great. You have to send it to somebody, the Chronicle at least.

This has been such a wonderful trip. Thank you for bringing us all along through your pictures and text. Peace and love to you all.

Do take a picture of Addie when she gets home and realizes she is back with all her toys and her bed and her cat (Didi will be thrilled to see her again, I know!). As great as it is to get away, being home is pretty fantastic too.

Nana & Pop-Pop back from day 21 of our Sicily/Rome road trip but without a cute Addie to entertain us but a grown Drew to accompany us and keep us attuned to beach culture and thinking Gelato. Loved driving stick shift and learning all the bad Italian mountain driving habits.

We can't believe how Addie in the short time we were gone has gone from being a baby to standing by the vineyards and the ocean as a poised young lady. What a great series of pics to greet us as we come home.

Seeing Addie look so cute helps us over jet lag and stirs our Addie lag as we miss her in person.

Keep the travel journal coming!!
