90-something degrees outside today. Yikes. Yesterday we explored an Earth Day celebration at a local park and found refuge at the beach in the afternoon. Both activities were sans camera but not today! Jamie and I took the girls out for strawberry crepes at the Farmer's Market and then spend the rest of the morning in the air-conditioned Boone Gallery at the LA County Museum of Art. The exhibition called Construct, part of their celebration of the new addition, is all for kids - blocks, painting, crafts. And it's free. Can't get much better than that. Check out photos of our adventures here!
After tearing it up with the soft and hard blocks, they took to the easel. Addie and Clara are quite the budding artists. Their collaborative masterpiece is now taped above our bed. This was the first time Addie explored the world of paint. She loves the sidewalk chalk we bought her recently and often decorates our back door. When I took this she was saying "Circles Circles." I'm selfishly so thrilled she loves drawing and painting and can't wait for our gallery of her work to grow.

So impressive that the blog post is live less than two hours after we departed! What a fun morning.
Put me on the list as a recipient of an original Addie drawing!
What fun a free day at the museum. I'm ready to bid for Addie's early work at the next Sotheby auction! She's one classy girl like her mom - strawberry crepes -Ymmm!!
I'd like to become a collector of addie artwork. Already quite the budding artist! Abstract and Modern. My favorites!
That photo of a great artist's hand painting great art is great art!
The more I look at her cuteness, I wonder if she is ambidextrous or even left handed?
all these pics are amazing, love, but i gotta say that top addie's-eye-view of the canvas takes the cake
