This photo looks like a young college freshman off to school for the fall.
Thank goodness she's still my little Addiecakes holding hands with her friend Rya, running up giant hills and trying to feed pieces of grass to prehistoric mastodons at the La Brea Tar Pits.
Bonus from Friday night party at the tar pits - Cap and I could even drank wine with friends while the little ones ran amok. This is a tradition that Rya's parents just introduced us too. I know where we'll be Friday nights.

I like the college look, but crimson? (O.K. for grad school) How about blue and a boola boola. She'll make one cute co-ed, yikes!
It's hard for us to relate to turtlenecks as it is over 90 today in both temp and humidity!
Addie's becoming quite a beauty, now that she's nearing college age. It's a great shot of her forehead, especially.
stunning! I have to agree with dad. The Turtleneck poncho surprised me, as the heat index is now 105 in swampy NYC
we've been blessed with warm days and cool nights but the poncho (gift from auntie snorg) might have been overkill. it was also possibly the last time she would fit into it before it was too hot and she was too big.
What fun they are all having! I love Addie's intent look as she proffers the blade of grass.
