Where the Wild Things Are

_MG_2941r.jpg

Nothing like a little mountain town, a cabin in the woods, s'mores, an old-school metal slide and some football to put you in the Fall spirit. We spent 3 nights in Idyllwild nestled a mile high in the San Jacinto mountains. I had a cold (and a clogged milk duct - ew) unfortunately but our cabin was a great place to convalesce - a one bedroom with kitchenette, TV and fireplace. Plus it was Eliza's one month birthday and taking a mini-vacation is a great way to celebrate. Happy Birthday my sweet little pea pod.

when there's a coffee shop w-in walking distance it can't even be considered rural.

awesome. you make everything look so beautiful and easy. i think it's your special gift. the picture of addie on the slide ... wow ... i'm speechless.

thanks Catherine!

Idyllwild isn't rural but it is a cute little mountain town tucked in the woods, population 3,504.

jamie - i'd love to go back again. thanks for the advice!

Wherever you were, they should buy that pic of Addie on the slide for their promotional materials!

What a wonderful weekend; Eliza's first get-away weekend, yes? I think she enjoyed herself! Everyone else certainly did. Thank you for bringing us all along with your memories.
