Happy Birthday GGV!

Great Grandma Vede turned 94 years young last week.
Addie wanted to bake her a cake.
A pink cake.
A pink cake with raspberries.
And we did.

Addie loves birthdays. Happy Birthday to Addie is a frequent song she sings
and often times ordinary toys are transformed into delicous cakes
complete with candles to blow out. Remember that toy where you
pound in the colored pegs with a mallot? Addie and I were pounding
away when suddently the pegs where candles which she blew out.
She then served wooden block cake slices to her guests.
Sometimes those same blocks are cookies or ice cream.
Addie gave me an imaginary ice cream cone so I paid her an imaginary doller.
Then she went into the living room and gave Cap an imaginery cone and the imaginary dollar.
Hey Dada! What kind of a racket are you running anyway?

The cake looks scrumptuous. Can't wait for Addie to bake me one, but don't wait 'til I'm 94 how about 68 years young!

that cake looks delicious. You and Addie did a wonderful job.
Cap must be a millionaire with all those imaginary dollars Addie is feeding him!

mmmm. Sawyer is really into pretend ice cream cones too - I've been meaning to blog about this - he pulls them out of the gas cap of his toy car as well as imaginary hot dogs and juice. That's one amazing car, I tell ya.

Happy Birthday, Vede! What a wonderful cake Addie imagined - and made real - for you!

Teaparty Tea: warm milk with a little sugar and a drop of food coloring. Every guest can have a differenet color of tea (if one is very very careful in controlling the drops).

Birthdays are wonderful!

Addie is Vede's best birthday present.
