Our little sassafras likes to be her own boss - and the boss of everyone else.
When I ask her to climb into her car seat she tells me, "No Mama. Time-out Mama! You cry!"
Um, sorry lil' monkey but it just doesn't work that way. Still, she makes her stuffed animals
go into time-out, and the other day she yelled at a house fly that was zipping around the kitchen,
"Go a-way! Time-out Fly!"

Now that's an intense look for the Paparazzi mama!!!!!!!!
Oh, it is so much better to be the one who makes the rules! Poor Addie. She does have the concept down; she just doesn't want it to apply to her. Can't say I blame her!
And then, she wouldn't be Addie if there weren't a power struggle over getting into the car seat. There she ends up, strapped in safe and sound, and carted around at the whim of the parent-driver. Not something to the liking of Intrepid Woman! She would so much rather drive, or if she had to, sit in the passenger seat to supervise.
The day will come far too quickly!
First, does addie get put in time-out a lot? She certainly understands the concept. I like that she's implementing her own rules of the game. Queen Addie. Secondly, i love her shirt! So cute!
