Three nutcrackers standing guard.
These little guys are new to our holiday decorations as an impulse purchase when getting our parking ticket validated at Cost Plus. Addie adores them and promises not to break them, she said. I think we'll wait until next year though before taking her to see the Nutcracker ballet - a tradition my family did every year when I was young and we lived in New York.

i still either see a live nutcracker or one of several videos (including a swedish one which is phenomenal), every year. love, marcia
Sarah, I love your Christmas Countdown! It is better than an Advent calendar!
My copy of the Nutcracker is coming out tonight, a very camp version from Mark Morris. Also "L'enfant et les Sortileges" which Addie would love but not for a while yet because I think it would be a bit scary. Ditto with "Hansel & Gretel" but I do hope she'll be able to see the opera some time, and many times. So many good memories!
An impressive mission. one a day christmas countdown. wow.
